Zach Wilson came through with a two-out single, scoring Palmeiro and putting the Blue Crabs up 2-0.

The Blue Crabs started the sixth inning with a ground-rule double from Cory Vaughn, who was forced out on a fielder’s choice the next batter. Zach Cone picked up a one-out single, putting runners on first and second. A double-steal attempted led to a throwing error from the catcher, scoring Rodriguez to go up 3-0.

Thompson continued to cruise with the lead, as the Blue Crabs added another run in the seventh inning. Edwin Garcia singled with one-out, stealing second to get in scoring position for the middle of the lineup. A single from Wilson and a walk for Snyder loaded the bases with just one out in the inning. Vaughn came through with a sacrifice fly to left field, moving the score to 4-0.

Thompson was lifted after a scoreless seven, giving up just five hits on the evening, for his eighth quality start of the season. Back-to-back 1-2-3 innings from Zack Thornton and Cody Eppley locked in the 4-0 win, evening up the series for the Blue Crabs.
