WALDORF, MD—Southern Maryland came into the game looking to avoid the sweep and were unable to do so, as York completed the three game sweep by the final of 5-3.

Southern Maryland jumped out early to a 2-0 lead with RBI singled from Zach Wilson and D’Arby Myers in the top of the first.  In the home half, Telvin Nash tied the game with a two run shot over the wall in left center.

In the bottom of the sixth, with the Revolution down 3-2, Michael Burgess came to the plate a hit a bullet homerun over the wall in right to tie the game.  A few batters later, Salvador Paniagua ripped a single to left to score James Simmons from second.  The Revolution added another run on the error by Steve Lombardozzi to bring the score to its final of 5-3.

LHP Scott Snodgress went 5.0 innings today for Southern Maryland, striking out eight and wiggling his way out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the fourth.  Snodgress did not factor in the decision.

Southern Maryland will take on Bridgeport in game one of a four game set this holiday weekend.  The first pitch tomorrow night is set for 7:12 P.M.
