(Lancaster PA., September 2nd 2015)— Game
one of this three game series was pushed back because of prior scheduling
causing the two teams to play a doubleheader here tonight with the Barstormers
winning game one 4-2, and game two 5-4.

In game one Lancaster took the lead first.  In the bottom
of the first, Kent Matthes lifted a fly ball out to left field allowing Jerry
Owens to score to make it 1-0 Lancaster.  In the top of the third,
Southern Maryland would tie the game when Fred Lewis drove a homerun over the
wall in right to make tie the game at 1-1.

Lancaster would reclaim the lead, and never
relinquish.  In the bottom of the fourth, Brian Cavazos-Galves led things
off with a walk, followed by a Lance Zawadzki single to put two runners on
base.  Two batters later, Charlie Cutler drove in Cavazos-Galves with a
sacrifice fly.  After a Yusuke Kajimoto walk, Jerry Owens singled to score
Zawadzki to make it 3-1.  Each team exchanged runs in the fifth inning,
with the Blue Crabs falling short in game one.  Each team had seven hits
in the first ballgame.

Despite out-hitting Lancaster and scoring first, Southern
Maryland fell in the score column by the final of 5-4.  In the top of the
second, Southen Maryland started the scoring off with four unanswered runs
spreak out through three innings.  The Blue Crabs scored their first two
runs on an Antone DeJesus two run homerun.  It was his first homerun since
May 1st against Lancaster.  In the top of the third, a Bryant
Nelson RBI groundout allowed Casey Stevenson to score to make it 3-0.
Antone DeJesus would score again in the top of the fourth on a Zach Wilson RBI
single to make it 4-0 Southern Maryland.

Lancaster put their foot on the gas pedal offensively, and
scored five runs on four hits.  With one out, Kent Matthes, and Brian
Cavazos-Galves wach singled, followed by a Lance Zawadzki walk to load the
bases.  Two batters later, Kevin Rivers advanced to first on a dropped
third strike allowing Matthes to score.  The next hitter Juan Apodaca
lashed a single to left to bring Cavazos-Galves, and Zawadzki to the plate to
make it 4-3.  A couple of hitters later, Jerry Owens drove in two runs to
score Rivers and Apodoca to make it 5-4 Lancaster.

Southern Maryland would be held scoreless the rest of the
way.  Juan Apodaca, and Jerry Owens both drove in two runs for Lancaster,
while Kyle Simon picked up the win out of the bullpen.

The finale of the series will take place tomorrow in
Lancaster.  The first pitch is set for 7:05 P.M.
