Despite taking an early lead and plating five in the game,
the Blue Crabs drop game three of four in York 9-5. Southern Maryland has now
lost three consecutive and seeks to avoid a sweep tomorrow in the final of the
four game set in York.

Daryl Thompson started and gets the loss after pitching 4.2 and
giving up eight runs. Trey Barham and Cody Eppley pitched in relief and allowed
a run.

Fred Lewis homered and scored two runs in the game. Gustavo
Molina tallied an RBI as DH in his first game back off the DL.

The Crabs’ took a 1-0 lead in the first off of Fred Lewis’
fourth home run of the season. After scoring a second run in the top of the
fourth on a Gustavo Molina RBI double. But York countered with a six run fourth
to claim and keep the lead. A two run sixth and one run ninth for the Crabs’
provided life for a possible rally that ended up falling short in the end.

Game four comes tomorrow in York before the Blue Crabs
return home on Sunday for the start of a four game set with Bridgeport.
