The Blue Crabs and Bluefish face off in game one of four today at 7:05 at Regency Furniture Stadium. The Bridgeport Bluefish come into town sporting a 7-3 record in second half play; first place in the Liberty Division, and the best in the Atlantic League. 

The Bluefish also have won three straight against Southern Maryland. Tonight’s game the 12th time that Bridgeport and Southern Maryland are facing off against one another, and the fourth game in seven days between the two clubs.

Southern Maryland will host the Bridgeport Bluefish for four games this week, before hitting the road for a quick three game road trip against Somerset (24th-26th). Of the remaining 11 games here in the month of July, eight of them will take place at Regency Furniture Stadium.

Yesterday was home to the rubber match between the Crabs’ and Riversharks. The game was tied 2-2 headed to the bottom of the ninth when Anthony Vega tripled for the second time that day to lead-off the frame, two outs later Casey Stevenson looped a single into right to send the Blue Crabs to a 3-2 win in the scolding heat (Full Recap).
