(Sugar Land, TX, July 10th 2015)—Southern
Maryland won two games of the three game series over July fourth weekend, and
out of the All-Star break, Southern Maryland took game one, defeating the Sugar
Land Skeeters by the 6-0 final.

things off with a triple in the top of the first.  The next hitter Casey

1-0.  All-Star Zach Wilson was the next, and he drove a homerun over the
left field wall to make it 3-0.

Both teams were held scoreless until the top of the
fifth.  With one out, Casey Stevenson lined a single to center.  Two
batters later, Daryle Ward advanced to first on a drop third strike.
Gustavo Molina then came to the plate, and doubled to the left center field to
score Stevenson and Ward to bring the Southern Maryland lead to 5-0.  In
the top of the seventh, Zach Wilson scored on a Daryle Ward single to bring the
score to its’ final of 6-0.

Southern Maryland has now combined for 28 hits the last two
games against the Skeeters.  The combination of Lewis, Stevenson, Wilson,
Ward, and Molina went 10-23 with four RBIs.  The other big story of the
game was All-Star Jake Hale who won his league leading ninth game here

and striking out three.
