(Waldorf, MD., June 25th 2015)—After

Maryland played a doubleheader consisting of two seven inning ballgames with
the Blue Crabs coming out on top 8-3, and then falling to York in game two by a
5-1 count.

In game one, Southern Maryland fell down early, but scored
four runs in the bottom of the third.  Fred Lewis led things off with a
single, followed by a Casey Stevenson double to put runners at second and
third.  Zach Wilson then drove in Lewis with an RBI Single.  Two
batters later Jovan Rosa singled allowing Stevenson to score.  After a

Fast forward to the bottom of the fourth, with two runners
on, Zach Wilson doubled in both Lewis and Stevenson to make it 6-2.  In
the bottom of the sixth, Casey Frawley led things off with a double, and he was
driven in by Fred Lewis’ triple to make 7-2.  The next hitter Casey
Stevenson drove in Lewis with a sacrifice fly to make it 8-2.

York would add a late run but the pitching staff of Southern
Maryland held down the Revolution to pick up the victory.  Southern
Maryland banged out 11 hits in the ballgame.

In game two it was a different script, as Southern Maryland
struggled offensively with only five hits in the game.  Shawn Hill who
started the ballgame last night, before it was postponed gave up five runs on
four hits last night.  Fast forward to 24 hours later, and Hill threw four
innings, allowing a run on three hits.

York and Southern Maryland each scored a run in the first
inning, but York broke out offensively in the top of the third.  Sean
Smith started the rally with a single, which was then proceeded by a Starlin
Rodriguez single to left to put runners at corners.  Sean Smith was then
thrown out at home plate but the fielder’s choice put runners at first and second.
Nick Ferdinand walked to load the bases.  Andres Perez then singled to
score Rodriguez, and Patterson to make it 3-1.  The next hitter Brandon
Boggs singled to score Ferdinand to make it 4-1.

York would add one more run in the sixth inning to bring the
final score to 5-1.  With the win, York snapped a four game losing
streak.  The combination of Ferdinand, Perez, and Boggs drove in four runs
for the Revolution, who had nine hits as a team.  Despite the performance
from starting pitcher Shawn Hill, Stephen Penney picked up the victory out of
the bullpen.

York and Southern Maryland will play game three of the
series tomorrow at Regency Furniture Stadium.

The first is set for 7:05
